First attested as Middle Korean 브ᅀᅥᆸ (pùzèp) in the Hunminjeong'eum haerye (訓民正音解例 / 훈민정음해례), 1446. Also attested as Middle Korean 브ᅀᅥᆨ (pùzèk) in the Bullyu dugongbu si eonhae (分類杜工部詩諺解 / 분류두공부시언해), 22:50b, 1481. See the Middle Korean entries for more information.
