Catalan third conjugation (-ir) verbs.
These verbs are normally derived from Latin verbs whose infinitive ended in -īre (see Category:Latin fourth conjugation verbs), or are coined by analogy to such verbs. These verbs come in two varieties, those with an -eix- infix in the otherwise root-stressed forms (the great majority of verbs of this class and all newly formed third conjugation verbs), and those without an -eix- infix (a minority of verbs, often irregular).
