STRUCTURE: This module produces at the moment consecutive lines for different language codes with pronunciations.
Each line has 3 things / 'elements':
CELL1
1) the period_label (linked) (example: period-label=cla gives 5th c. BCE Attic)
these periods titles are placed at ]
(ex ]) I have no idea where they are now.
PUT them in here.
2) the ipa-label linked to our ipaHelp +key which links to wikipedias (linked IPAkey): e.g. ipa-label=cla, ipa-label=koi1...
CELL2
3) the actual IPA e.g. ipa=cla, ipa=koi1....
At the moment these three are unbreakable. There are no args for the editor.
One cannot call with parameter only one element or one cell. ONLY 3) or ONLY 1).
One cannot omit an element or empty one cell or omit a row(line)
One cannot override ipa-mod2=writewhatIwant.
One cannot add a second ipa.
One cannot add a CELL3 with 4) notes.
NEED for structure
* 1 Detach elements and cells. Especially, detach the IPAs as named parameters ipa-cla=1, ipa-med2=0, ipa-el=0
I tested templates: cla only, el only
* 2 Need args parameters for editor.
* 3 OVERRIDE must be possible by editor, especially for med2, el loanwards or minor corrections
second ipa (for optional second pronunciation), rarely a 3rd one. Let the editor decide.
ipa-el=/ˈðʝa.vo.los/, ˈ/ði̯a.vo.los/
if override cannot be done, then we CANNOT have modern Greek IPA
because it is impossible to predict some pronunciations
The same goes for some med2 (with synizesis) it may or it may not have synizesis
depending on register.
* 4 Cell with NOTES for every period row
* 5 add examples at the module's comments
If possible make the TABLE (rows, cells) visible for the reader of the module.
Or at least, say: Here is the first cell, here is the bla bla
* There has to be a title like 'as pronounced by Greeks of all periods'
-- because we have words ONLY ancient with medieval ipa too.
-- It means: If a Greek of the time read this word, he would have pronounced it like: ....
Note: the only (that I can find) difference of med and el is at med1 and the double.consonants.
TODO: what are the differences of med1 and med2?
Then, the editor can make a Template with any combination of the above
Make a line for ONE period: inline (no break lines), not in a table.
It can be used in texts, etymologies etc.
period-label-cla .. IPA-label-cla .. IPA-cla in one line (no break lines)
Combinations: Templates for one period only
Period-titles as cla-only, el-only, from Module:User:Sarri.greek/accent qualifier/data
Combinations of perdios
IPA only (for inflectional tables. It could be placed under the forms or under transliterations)
PROBLEMS at IPA = > > > > specific letters or clusters problems at DATA page. see /data page for /ks ps zm/ and others
* ?? if imput initial ΆάΈέΉήΊίΌόΎύΏώ / ΑαΕεΗηΙιΟοΥυΩω / Αί αί Εί εί Οί οί Ού ού / Αύ αύ Εύ εύ Ηύ ηύ then, show warning for period=el
(all polytonic symbolds work equally well for monotonic el plus some extra things about digraphs)
