deletion

Hi, I do not see any lexicographic reason for this phrase to have an entry of its own. Should it be deleted? --Backinstadiums (talk) 09:27, 24 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

It should be kept one way or another. It is a single word (no spaces), and it is a difficulty for learners. I prefer it the way it is now, but it might instead be redirected to الله (allāh), and then the infomation contained here be transferred to الله (allāh). I think it is simpler, easier, and more logical to leave it as is. —Stephen (Talk) 20:22, 24 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

/ɫ/

Does prefixing لِـ change the nature of velarized /ɫ/? Otherwise the pronunciation should show ɫ. --Backinstadiums (talk) 10:27, 4 November 2017 (UTC)Reply

Our current templates are not capable of handling it, it seems, so I have removed the section. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 18:59, 4 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
@Metaknowledge: According to this forum thread, the pronunciation was right. You can restore it . --Backinstadiums (talk) 21:00, 4 November 2017 (UTC)Reply
Yes, it is correct, also according to "An Introduction To Koranic and Classical Arabic" by W.M. Thackston. @Backinstadiums: I highly recommend you this book, you need the book with answers as well, sold separately. Although it has a lot of religious examples, it is a very good introduction to Classical Arabic grammar and it's gradual and easy to use. --Anatoli T.
