- It seems to be used in 砵蘭 (Portland) as a stand-in for the syllable, "Port" (蘭 being "lán"). See, e.g., 2007, 黎誌添 (Lai Chi Tim), 廣東地方道教研究 (Guangdong local Taoist Studies), page 177:
