Why are there four pronunciations given? The letter P is generally aspirated at the beginning of words. I don't see why you have to differentiate as if there are clear groups of people that pronounce it un/aspirated and only in American English. --Explosivo (talk) 22:13, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
If we list "power" as a trucking term for tractors, we should also list "power" to mean electricity (perhaps under the mechanical definition) ex. "The power's out" in US English, "power cut" in UK. Also another derivative meaning (perhaps under the political definition) is referring to powerful political entities/authorities: "The powers that be", the "superpowers of the Cold War", etc. Curuwen (talk) 15:57, 6 December 2024 (UTC)
