Talk:rogue
If the Old French word is from Old Norse hrokr, then I would expect the synonymous Breton word to be from the same source. On the other hand: Is it sure that the French word is from Old Norse? Or is it from Breton? (French substituted f- for Germanic h- + consonant, though this may be restricted to an earlier phase.) Either way, it would be quite coincidental that the Old French and Breton words should not be related. But who knows... Maybe someone does? Kolmiel (talk) 00:40, 26 July 2015 (UTC)
