This template may be used on Wiktionary entry pages to quote William Cowper's work The Iliad and Odyssey of Homer (1st edition, 1791, 2 volumes). It can be used to create a link to online versions of the work at the Internet Archive:
The template takes the following parameters:

.|2=
or |book=
– mandatory: the book of the Iliad or Odyssey quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals.|3=
or |page=
; or |pages=
– mandatory in some cases: the page number(s) quoted from. When quoting a range of pages, note the following:
|pages=10–11
.|pageref=

– use |brackets=on

This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.{{RQ:Cowper Homer|volume=I|book=XVII|lines=913–918|page=481|passage=They, as a cloud of ſtarlings or of davvs / Fly ſcreaming ſhrill, vvarn'd timely of the kite / Or havvk, devourers of the ſmaller kinds, / So they '''ſhrill'''—clamouring tovvard the fleet, / Haſted before Æneas and the might / Of Hector, nor the battle heeded more.}}
