This template may be used on Wiktionary entry pages to quote W. Somerset Maugham's work The Bishop's Apron: A Study in the Origins of a Great Family (1st edition, 1906). It can be used to create a link to an online version of the work at Project Gutenberg; no PDF version of the work is currently available online.
The template takes the following parameters:
|1= or |chapter= – the chapter number quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals. If a page number is not specified, the template links the chapter number to the Project Gutenberg version of the work.|2= or |page=, or |pages= – mandatory in some cases: the page number(s) quoted from, from a print copy of the 1st edition (1906). If quoting a range of pages, Separate the first and last page number of the range with an en dash, like this: |pages=10–11.|3=, |text=, or |passage= – the passage to be quoted.|footer= – a comment on the passage quoted.|brackets= – use |brackets=on to surround a quotation with brackets.
