This template may be used on Wiktionary entry pages to quote from the work The Psalmes of David (written a. 1587 – a. 1599; published 1823) by Philip Sidney (Psalms I–XLIII) and completed after his death by his sister Mary Sidney (Psalms XLIV–CL). It can be used to create a link to an online version of the work at the Internet Archive.
The template takes the following parameters:
|chapter=
– if quoting from the introductory "advertisement", specify |chapter=Advertisement
.|1=
or |psalm=
– mandatory: the psalm number quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals, from |volume=I
to |volume=CL
.|subtitle=
– the subtitle of the psalm quoted from.|2=
or |page=
, or |pages=
– mandatory in some cases: the page number(s) quoted from in Arabic or lowercase Roman numerals, as the case may be. When quoting a range of pages, note the following:
|pages=10–11
or |x–xi=
.|pageref=
to specify the page number that the template should link to (usually the page on which the Wiktionary entry appears).|3=
, |text=
, or |passage=
– the passage to be quoted.|footer=
– a comment on the passage quoted.|brackets=
– use |brackets=on
to surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.{{RQ:Sidney Psalms|psalm=CXLII|subtitle=Voce mea ad Dominum|page=272|passage=O change my state, unthrall my soule enthralled: / Of my escape then will I tell the story, / And with a crown '''enwalled''' / Of godly men, will glory in thy glory.}}
