Alternative spellings

If a word has both a reformed and traditional orthography (like ազատություն and ազատութիւն), then we want to minimize duplicating the hy-pron entry.

  • For Western Armenian, if the reformed spelling has a pronunciation, then don't create a pronunciation for the traditional version. In the future, we may systematically reverse this restriction, and add Western pronunciations for all the traditionally-written words.
  • Similarly for Eastern Armenian, we don't think it's practical to duplicate the pronunciation for both traditional and reformed spellings.
