Template:wasei eigo

Template for Japanese etymologies. Shortcut for adding wasei eigo etymologies, and adds entries to Category:Japanese pseudo-loans from English.

The simplest case:

• {{wasei eigo|sort=わんまん}} -- produces:

Wasei eigo (和製英語; pseudo-anglicism)

This also adds the page to Category:Japanese pseudo-loans from English, and correctly indexes the entry to the reading わんまん (wanman).

For wasei eigo terms deriving directly from English terms:

• {{wasei eigo|sort=わんまん|one|man}} -- produces:

Wasei eigo (和製英語; pseudo-anglicism), derived from one +‎ man

This also adds the page to Category:Japanese pseudo-loans from English, and correctly indexes the entry to the reading わんまん (wanman).

• {{{1}}} to {{{4}}} (optional): takes up to four English words and links each one to its English entry.
• sort= (optional): it is basically required in order to correctly sort kanji-spelled entries in the Category:Japanese pseudo-loans from English category index.
• nocap= (optional): fill this parameter with any text to spell wasei without capital letter if it is not the first word in the etymology section.
• nocat= (optional): fill this parameter with any text to prevent the addition of the "Wasei eigo" category
