This template automatically generates pronunciation for Middle Polish words using Module:zlw-mpl-IPA based on {{R:pl:SXVI}}'s entries and sometimes the quotes from {{R:pl:SXVII}}. The most important thing to keep in mind are the set of "jasne" and "pochylone" vowels, which are marked in {{R:pl:SXVI}}. See Middle Polish for more information. The character <å> is represented as á on Wiktionary.

Parameters:

• ^ sets the stress to antepenultimate for words ending in -yjá, for example:

  {{zlw-mpl-IPA|^absencyjá}} prints:

  (Middle Polish) IPA^(key): /apˈsɛn.t͡sɨ.jɒ/

• * sets a word to be unstressed, usually for grammatical words, for example:

  {{zlw-mpl-IPA|*ku}} prints:

  (Middle Polish) IPA^(key): /ku/

• For non-assimilated (not phonetically spelled) loanwords it will produce a pronunciation as if they were spelled phonetically.
• The generated syllable breaks may be unnatural or even wrong. This can be corrected using punctuation, for example:

  (Middle Polish) IPA^(key): /pʂɛ.blɛˈkɔ.t͡sɛ/, /pr̝ɛ.blɛˈkɔ.t͡sɛ/

• /e/ can be spelled in |1= using é, for example:

• Palatal b, p, m, and w can be printed with b́, ṕ, ḿ, and ẃ respectively.

This template can be either substituted or transcluded. For example:

gives: (Middle Polish) IPA^(key): /pʂɛ.blɛˈkɔ.t͡sɛ/, /pr̝ɛ.blɛˈkɔ.t͡sɛ/. The first positional parameter is optional and defaults to {{PAGENAME}} (the transcluding page name).
