It actually takes more to type the template name than the text it returns, so I don't think it was created to make things easier. But then I don't know what it was for... —CodeCat23:22, 12 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
Well actually it automates replacement of text within another template - enabling a choice of other templates! If someone can show another (easy) way of doing this please tell me. Saltmarsh (talk) 16:07, 23 January 2014 (UTC)Reply
It's a while ago since I wrote this - I presumably tried the obvious (why would I use a convoluted way else?) and it didn't work. It was tested in my sandpit - would the slash in the name now replaced by el-decl-adj-template have made a difference?) Anyway, I have made the requested change - how long will it take for it to work through the system, and we can confirm that it works? — Saltmarsh (talk) 06:35, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
If you edit and preview an entry that uses the template and it works fine, that immediately confirms that it works. Waiting is only necessary to confirm that the template is orphaned. --WikiTiki8906:39, 4 February 2014 (UTC)Reply
