Always remember to assume bad faith!
As I prefer to keep conversations together, I will reply to all conversations on the talkpage where the conversation started.
Hello, and welcome to Wiktionary. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
I hope you enjoy editing here! By the way, you can sign your comments on talk (discussion) pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~
, which automatically produces your name (or IP number if you're not signed in) and the current date and time. If you have any questions, then see the help pages, add a question to one of the discussion rooms or ask me on my talk page.—msh210℠ 19:25, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
Please note that Wiktionary does not really do the whole gift giving fad from Wikipedia, and as such your subpages shouldn't ever be used here. Conrad.Irwin 16:50, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
We don't use these either. Conrad.Irwin 20:51, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
Please {{subst:}} this. Automated tools that parse Wiktionary are not able to easily transclude. Conrad.Irwin 21:24, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
You don't need the explicit category: {{plural of}}
adds it. Also, note that the headword is specified, which is not what you want. Finally, realize that you're merely duplicating template:new en plural. HTH.—msh210℠ 18:18, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
{{also}}
Can be used where Wikipedia uses Template:For and similar. Conrad.Irwin 16:50, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
{{dablink|For {{{1}}}, see ]{{#if:{{{3|}}}| and ]}}.}}
This is not Wikipedia. Please do not tell newcomers that it is. --EncycloPetey 19:05, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
You are making a mess. This is not Wikipedia, stop acting as though it is. If you want to warn people for testing on entries, use {{test}}
, vandals get blocked not warned. You are causing me to do a lot of cleaning up after you, and you will be blocked unless you do something productive. I would suggest Adding example sentences to entries would be a good way to get started and gain a real edit count. Conrad.Irwin 19:06, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
