A word of advice

Just so you know, we are making dictionary entries, which means we should stick to linguistic methods. Here we solely document language usages as they are, not pushing for any form that one might perceive as "older" or "purer" as "correct". This means that forms need to be attested (recorded in dictionaries or in actual usages). What you are doing here is adding examples in a conlang represented as a natural language, which is against the point of a dictionary. Finally, it's also encouraged that you keep your personal beliefs from being so overt. I'm a Southerner, so these verbal attacks against Northerners don't really concern me personally, but remember, making dictionary entries is a part of linguistics, and linguistics is a science. In science, it's better that you have certain methods and conduct. PhanAnh123 (talk) 05:28, 22 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

No, I don't use conlang. It's a mixture of Central dialects and selected in the direction of taking the oldest word as representative. For example: séc giáo fa, the North Central dialect calls "sách" as "séc", the Southern Central dialect calls "khoa" as "fa" (only is /f/, and is still /pʰ/). In accordance with proto Vietic, there is no and sounds. I'm just trying to preserve the ancient features still preserved in the central dialect. I live in a place with many people from the North Central and South Central regions.
I hate the Northerners because they are assimilating and erasing the Central languages. They claim their dialect is "standard" and try to brainwash and assimilate the all other dialects. Everything started after 1975, when they controlled education and media nationwide, then they assimilated by all means.
I will continue to add and edit Central words. Tinbbloli (talk) 10:01, 22 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yeah yeah, you're a proud Central Vietnamese and have no love for us Northerners, we get it. But this is an online dictionary and you should follow its attestation rule accordingly (check out Central Vietnamese cụi or Hue Vietnamese dôn). Furthermore, quốc ngữ has been on this planet centuries before the "evil Northerners" conquer all of Vietnam, so i urge you to stop arbitrarily adding Muong-Viet hybrid orthography that you yourself created, and also keep your bigotry against Northerners underwrapped as we're all trying to preserve the Vietnamese language here (not only the Northern dialects). Btw, i think you may find dictionaries of Central dialects like Từ điển phương ngữ Huế (1998) and Từ điển tiếng Nghệ (1998) interesting. – Billcipher123 (talk) 11:58, 22 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
No, even the word "quốc ngữ" was changed by the Northerners, originally it was pronounced "quấc" or "quắc". Nowadays, the central dialect is increasingly fading away, and is at high risk of extinction. Especially in big cities, where no one knows their native language, let alone speaks it.
On the other hand, doesn't Vietnamese always have the characters "w, f, j, z, p", which are used frequently in words like web, file, joke, pizza, pin... You can't say that Vietnamese people today don't use those words. As for rhymes like "ec", "eng", they do exist in words like méc, rùm beng, mới keng... or oong is boong, xoong... So the "chử/trự quắc ngử" needs to be updated and written correctly according to the Central language. The central language is orthography.
I am Centraler so i know a lot about the Central languages. I realize that my native language is becoming extinct so I have the responsibility to preserve them. You are a Northerner. You are discriminating against me even though the words I edited are correct. Tinbbloli (talk) 06:36, 23 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Read WT:ATTEST. Also, you're accusing me of discrimination while you yourself use words like 'Bắc Kì' to refer to Northerners. The hypocrisy is off the charts. Billcipher123 (talk) 15:31, 23 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Amusingly i must say, this is the first time i have to deal with a Central Vietnamese chauvinist prick (like yourself). The derision towards Northerners of a certain portion of Southerners is well-known. But this is the first concerning the Central. Billcipher123 (talk) 16:02, 23 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

No, i have only one account. I support Central Vietnam dialect. I have no reason to create another account. Tinbbloli (talk) 06:39, 23 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
