- As near as I can tell, this isn't inconsistent. Wikipedia has no consistent abbreviation, but does use CAT: for some pages. —ObsequiousNewt (εἴρηκα|πεποίηκα) 15:48, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

- Oppose any more than one alias for each namespace. It's unnecessary, confusing to new users, and just makes a mess. (Note, this is not the same as my "technically impossible" votes below; there is no limit to the number of aliases a namespace can have.) This, that and the other (talk) 12:24, 5 December 2015 (UTC)
- Per the talk page, it's going to be only one alias per namespace: the one with more votes. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 18:48, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

- Technically impossible. A namespace "M:" would conflict with m:, an interwiki prefix for Meta-Wiki. This, that and the other (talk) 22:29, 3 December 2015 (UTC)
- My mistake. Since it's technically impossible, I guess we can ignore this option, supporting it wouldn't do any good. --Daniel Carrero (talk) 17:34, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
Support MO: → Module:
- Technically impossible as this is an interwiki prefix for the "Moldovan" Wiktionary. This spurious project has been closed since 2007, but remains available, and in particular, its interwiki prefix is still active. There is a request to delete this wiki on Meta, which was opened almost two years ago and has seemingly reached consensus for deletion since then, but still has not been closed. If the community really wants "MO:" as a namespace alias, we could ask m:User talk:MarcoAurelio (or another Language Committee member) if they are prepared to close the request for deletion and officially ask the WMF Board of Trustees to authorise the deletion of the site. This, that and the other (talk) 08:50, 4 December 2015 (UTC)

Oppose
- Oppose because essentially useless, given how few help pages we link to and how short the word "help" is, and there is a chance that a one-letter shortcut could become used by WMF in the future. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 01:52, 12 December 2015 (UTC)

Decision
CAT: passes 6-1 (with no other options), T: passes 6-1 (with other options failing), MOD: passes 4-1 (MD: passes 2-1, but if I am interpreting the design of this vote correctly, MOD: will be chosen instead; the other options are technically impossible and fail), AP: passes 8-0 (A: passes 4-0, but see note for MOD:), RC: passes 6-0, H: has no consensus with 2-2-1. @Daniel Carrero (or anybody else), feel free to open a request on Phabricator for all the ones that passed to get abbreviations. —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 16:22, 5 January 2016 (UTC)
