Inherited from Ottoman Turkish صوقلمق (soḳulmaḳ, “to be introduced, made to enter and penetrate, pushed into, to push into or insinuate one's self into a place or among others, to be stung by a bee”),^[1] from Ottoman Turkish صوقمق (soḳmaḳ, “to push, to thrust into, to insert, to sting or bite”), from Proto-Turkic *suk- (“to stick in, to insert”).^[2][3]
