Possibly related are σκελίς (skelís), σχελίς (skhelís, “rib(s) (of beef)”), but these may instead be from *(s)kelH- (“to cut, carve, split”) (cf. σκάλλω (skállō), σκύλλω (skúllō)), or Pre-Greek.
