Compare with Ukrainian Словаччина (Slovaččyna, “Slovakia”) from словацький (slovacʹkyj, “Slovak”) + -ина (-yna), or Ukrainian Німеччина (Nimeččyna, “Germany”) from німецький (nimecʹkyj, “German”) + -ина (-yna).
