Translation by Gohar Muradyan
Physiologus says about the deer that it is very hostile to the serpent; when the serpent escapes and goes into a hole, it goes and fills its vessel with water and comes to the hole which the serpent entered; and pours it into the serpent's hole until it draws the serpent out, tramples and kills it.
Usage notes
In the Physiologus, translates Ancient Greek ἔλαφος(élaphos).
