From Parthian 𐫉𐫙𐫇𐫡 (zʿwr /zūr/), 𐫉𐫇𐫡 (zwr /zūr/, “deceit, falsehood; deceitful, false; vain, in vain”), which is cognate with Middle Persian (zwl /zūr/, “false, deceitful”), Persian زور (zur, “lie, falsehood”), Sanskrit ह्वार (hvāra, “going crookedly”) and Old Church Slavonic зълъ (zŭlŭ, “bad”). Note also Old Georgian ცრუჲ (cruy)
