Borrowing from Parthian 𐫍𐫀𐫇𐫘𐫀𐫡 (hʾwsʾr /⁠hāwsār⁠/, similar, like; the like).[1][2][3][4] Remodelled as a native composite with the interfix -ա- (-a-).[5] Alternatively, the Iranian word itself had an -a-.[6]
