     ساعاتی پس از آنکه جاستین ترودو، نخست‌‌وزیر کانادا، گفت دلایل «معتبری» وجود دارد که دولت هند در ترور یکی از رهبران سیک‌ها در استان بریتیش کلمبیا کانادا نقش داشته و وزارت خارجه کانادا هم یک دیپلمات هند را در همین ارتباط اخراج کرد، هند نیز در اقدامی متقابل از اخراج یک دیپلمات ارشد کانادایی خبر داد.
