ܫܪܝܢܐ • (šeryānā) m (plural ܫܪܝܢܐ (šeryānē))

1. (anatomy) joint, nerve, ligament, articulation; membrane; artery

     ܘܠܐ ܐܚܕ ܪܝܫܐ. ܕܡܢܗ ܟܠܗ ܦܓܪܐ ܡܬܪܟܒ. ܘܡܬܩܝܡ ܒܫܪ̈ܝܢܐ ܘܒܗܕ̈ܡܐ. ܘܪܒܐ ܬܪܒܝܬܐ ܕܐܠܗܐ.

     wə-lā ʾāḥeḏ rêšā, də-mennēh kollēh p̄aḡrā meṯrakkaḇ, wə-meṯqayyam bə-šeryānē wa-ḇə-haddāmē, wə-rāḇē ṯarbīṯā ḏə-ʾălāhā.

     And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
