From Scythian *horamurta (literally “lord of gifts”), composed of a cognate of Khotanese hora, haura (“gift”) + Scythian *mrautā (literally “lord, ruler”) (cf. Khotanese rautcū).[1] Compare 𐨱𐨆𐨪𐨐 (horaka) and 𑀳𑁄𑀭𑀫𑀼𑀭𑁆𑀡𑁆𑀟𑀕 (horamurṇḍaga).
