Sindarin
Etymology
This word is not attested as such in Tolkien’s writings on Sindarin, but is fan-created ‘Neo-Sindarin’ based on constructing a cognate to the Quenya word venta found exclusively in Tolkien’s early conceptions of Quenya. Diegetically explicable as inherited from a common Primitive Elvish root *benet-, an extension of *ben- (‘angle’); only the latter of these two roots, however, is actually attested by Tolkien.
Noun
bened • w5$2$ (plural benid)
- (Neo-Sindarin) chin
