Yeah thanks. I added an error detection function which picked up existing errors in Wu transcription. I've been fixing these. Wyang (talk) 08:05, 25 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

印度尼西亞

@Wyang Hi. For some reason, Wu "2in du nyi xi hhia" fails on "hhia" but each syllable works fine. Please help when you have a chance. --Anatoli T. (обсудить/вклад) 05:19, 2 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Atitarev It should work now. (Btw, 亞 should be 2ia.) I can't verify this pronunciation for Shanghainese, though. Wyang (talk) 11:17, 2 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Prototype with wugniu pronunciation

I was talking with User:ND381 and they mentioned wanting to have Wugniu pronunciation on Wiktionary (as a part of User:ND381/Wu_Expansion), perhaps even making it the default. I offered to help with the Lua work: I've prototyped this at Module:User:Manishearth/wuu-pron, you can see it in action at User:Manishearth/zh-pron-sandbox. I'm not proposing we make this change just yet, but I'd love feedback! (Also, perhaps we can start by adding this entry to the below-the-fold hidden area?) & is broken on zh-pron

uh yeah rn there's a band-aid fix that displays it as + but this should be fixed soon in the near eventual future — 義順 (talk) 07:01, 13 August 2022 (UTC)Reply

Final -ieoq should be -ieq

In Module:wuu-pron/data, -ieoq is listed for sj and cs, but that should be spelled -ieq (according to the data at wugniu.com). I've updated it, and will fix the 6 entries where it occurs. Iwsfutcmd (talk) 22:12, 23 May 2025 (UTC)Reply

fixed. the characters in question were 億力寂積筆級
note: https://wugniu.com/search?char=億力寂積筆級&table=songjiang_zi to see all are spelled with -ieq, but still correspond to the /-iʌʔ/ IPA final)
nb: the "-eoq" final (no medial "-i-") is correct, Wugniu just doesn't write the "o" when there's a medial "-i-" Iwsfutcmd (talk) 22:19, 23 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Iwsfutcmd: Did you check ? 'Invalid final for sj : "ieoq"' Chuck Entz (talk) 04:33, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
good eye, thx. looks like someone got to it already Iwsfutcmd (talk) 09:47, 24 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
