- To me it sounds like he pronounces it ksósa (ks as in eks). This would be the unsophisticated way that a lot of Americans would try to pronounce that word, since most have never heard it pronounced correctly in their lives (nor incorrectly, for that matter). - It does sound like either /z/, or possibly /(g)z/, probably based on words like xylophone. A Google search for "Xhosa"+"Zosa" shows that at least a few people (one here) have pronounced it that way, but they all seem to have come to recognize that that was nonstandard.
