This template may be used on Wiktionary entry pages to quote from Richard Francis Burton's translation of Luís de Camões's works, entitled The Lyricks (1st edition, 1884, 2 volumes). It can be used to create a link to online versions of the work at Google Books and the Internet Archive:
The template takes the following parameters:
|volume=
– the volume number quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals, either |volume=I
or |volume=II
. This parameter may be omitted if the page number is specified.|number=
– if quoting from one of the sonnets, canzons, odes, or sextines, the number of the work in uppercase Roman numerals.|1=
or |chapter=
– the name of the sonnet, canzon, ode, or sextine quoted from. If quoting from the dedication, specify |chapter=Dedication
.|stanza=
– the stanza number quoted from, if applicable.|2=
or |page=
, or |pages=
– mandatory in some cases: the page number(s) quoted from. If quoting a range of pages, note the following:
|pages=10–11
.|pageref=
to indicate the page to be linked to (usually the page on which the Wiktionary entry appears).|3=
, |text=
, or |passage=
– the passage to be quoted.|footer=
– a comment on the passage quoted.|brackets=
– use |brackets=on
to surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.{{RQ:Camoes Burton Lyricks|number=XVI|chapter=''Por Meyo de Humas Serras Muy Fragosas'', (a Country Piece: Imitation of {{w|Gaspar Gil Polo}}'s ''Rimas Provenzales'')|stanza=V|page=336|passage=Here Challander '''trolleth''' from the crucified vine; / The Ring-dove moaneth, chattereth the Stare; / The snowy Culver fast from nest doth fare / The Throstle percheth high on olive-tine: {{...}}}}
