はまり役 edit

Curious about this edit? The alternative forms are already given in the alt= part of {{ja-kanjitab}}, they aren't lexically important to the entry under the specific はまり役 headword spelling, and they don't display correctly anyway when shoehorned into {{ja-noun}}. Any particular reason to keep them in an HTML comment? (No particular concern on my side, just trying to understand what I'm seeing.) ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 18:17, 24 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

They're not lexically important to はまり役 specifically, but it's not like they can go on ハマり役 ({{ja-see}}) either. (Not directly related, but I have been wondering if the minimalism of {{ja-see}} is too aggressive—we also lose a place to put conjugations, and adding etymologies, usage notes, quotations, gets awkward) —Fish bowl (talk) 19:51, 24 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
If there are details specific to the alternative spellings, surely we could add them under {{ja-see}}, within the entry for that alternative spelling? Perhaps like this? ‑‑ Eiríkr Útlendi │Tala við mig 10:13, 25 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
Yes, but I do not find it very pleasant. In no other circumstance is Usage notes a level three header, and the large box telling you to go to another page makes it easy to miss and easily disincentivizes such additions (has anyone else ever once considered the loss of the Conjugation header and how it impacts search?). —Fish bowl (talk) 04:51, 27 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

喪陽

You created a japanese entry for this term, claiming it as a mispelling of 襄陽 but the corresponding page has no Japanese entry. Did you mean for 喪陽 to be chinese, or should a japanese section be added to 襄陽? Horse Battery (talk) 03:56, 28 June 2025 (UTC)Reply

As indicated by the quotations hidden in the HTML commons, it appears in Japanese-language texts in reference to a place in Japanese-occupied Korea. —Fish bowl (talk) 04:53, 28 June 2025 (UTC)Reply
