Hi - thanks for adding categories to entries, as it's generally great. However, please be careful about the difference between "related to" categories (e.g. Category:en:Sleep: terms relating to sleep), and set categories (e.g. Category:en:Pigs: types of pig). You can't put pork in the second one, as it's not a type of pig. Could you please go through all the entries for meat that you've just edited and remove the animal category? Thanks. I just cleaned up two Japanese entries that you had in Category:Indonesian terms borrowed from English. In etymology templates, the first language code is the language of the entry- in this case "ja" for Japanese, not "id" for Indonesian- and the second language code is the source language. See WT:LOL for the list of Wiktionary language codes. Chuck Entz (talk) 00:55, 19 August 2024 (UTC)
{{bor|fr|en|centilitre}}
. Off the top of my head, I would think {{bor|ja|fr}}
or {{bor|ja|en}}
might be right, depending on the sources, but you can only have {{bor|fr|
in a French entry. This is precisely the kind of mindless sloppiness that got you blocked. When your block expires, PLEASE be more careful. If you're going to just throw stuff in there without checking, you might as well add "cone-neech-ee-wah" as the Korean translation for good morning while you're at it... Chuck Entz (talk) 22:37, 9 March 2025 (UTC)Do not do this. 1) Wikipedia is filled with protologisms that don't always meet our WT:CFI. 2) You do not speak all those languages or understand the grammar. For example, you added the plural forms of Polish and Russian when you should have added the singular, and you didn't even check the grammar if that's the correct form. If you continue this, I will have to increase the punishment, as this is a bannable offense. Please consider this a good-faith warning. Vininn126 (talk) 12:06, 28 August 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I've requested word ์๋ ๋ฒ ์ดํฐ to be added to Wiktionary, but you reverted it because the correct spelling is ์๋ฆฌ๋ฒ ์ดํฐ. I am only starting to learn Korean and what you've written seems to be correct, but ์๋ ๋ฒ ์ดํฐ is found in quite a lot of pages on Google. Shouldn't it at least be added as often mistake? Hi. The usage of {{ko-l}}
is discouraged. Please use relevant templates, such as {{l}}
, {{m}}
or {{alt}}

Please do not add translations of languages you don't know that you got from Wikipedia. 1) Do you know what's SOP in other languages? 2) About their grammar? 3) If it's even right?
This has been a banable offense in the past so consider this a warning. Vininn126 (talk) 08:40, 28 November 2024 (UTC)
Hello. This edit removed the template lang|ja
, among other changes. Non-English words โ even within non-English entries โ should generally be wrapped with lang
if they are not in some other template such as ja-r
, ja-noun
, m
, etc. Happy editing, Cnilep (talk) 03:54, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
Editing Wiktionary is very new to me, so I wanted to say thank you for cleaning up my entries. ^^ Ca (talk) 13:36, 2 February 2025 (UTC)
Thank you for your edits adding {{ko-regional}}
to various North Korean entries. However, please do not remove {{standard spelling of}}
, as North Korean entries are still nonlemmas and need to be appropriately categorized into North Korean. Please see WT:AKO#North vs. South Korea for more information. ๐๐ โ talkโ โ contribsโ 16:42, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
{{standard form of}}
should be used instead if the North Korean form differs from the South Korean form beyond just the spelling. It's unclear to me which one should be used for Sino-Korean words where ๋์๋ฒ์น is ignored. The status quo seems to be that {{standard spelling of}}
is more common, although that goes against my intuition. ๐๐ โ talkโ โ contribsโ 16:59, 5 March 2025 (UTC)
