Hi Pixelpito,
I know you’re already familiar with my work. I just wanted to say, nice to see someone collaborating on Tamil here on wiktionary! And it’s great to meet you.
I’ve seen that you’re adding spoken Tamil declensions to Wiktionary. Which is great! But dialects of Tamil vary widely from place, so the dialect you’re familiar with (I assume Coimbatore?) might not sound right to another speaker. Like at வீடு, your ablative case was வீட்லருந்து, but as a person from Chennai, we always say வீட்டுலேந்து. So it might help to mark which Tamil dialect this is from, just so that people don’t get confused.

- Nice to talk to you! 🙂 Indeed, it might not be appropriate to provide declension for spoken Tamil since there are multiple dialects in Tamil. I think I'd better drop the whole thing altogether, unless there's very little change among dialects. Pixelpito (talk) 17:22, 10 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
