Wiktionary does not include Proto-Germanic words except in appendices because it doesn't meet WT:CFI per this vote. Ultimateria 04:52, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
Please do not remove these. You will end up in an edit war with the bot that maintains Wiktionary page style. The spaces and blank lines are supposed to be there. --EncycloPetey 03:50, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
We don't yet have this template on Wiktionary, and maybe we shouldn't do. Please use {{unreferenced}}
under the ====References==== header, as using {{fact}}
put a box in the middle of each definition! Mglovesfun (talk) 09:56, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
Since you're new, try not to edit too fast, it leads to errors. Sanger needs a language, if it's English, but ==English==. You probably want English AND Danish, so put
{{also|sanger}} ==English== ===Proper noun=== {{en-proper noun}} # {{surname|from=Norwegian}} ---- ==Danish== ===Proper noun=== {{infl|da|proper noun}} # {{surname|from=Norwegian|lang=da}} {{count page|]}}

Agree with Mglovesfun, you're making a lot of mistakes. A couple more things to keep in mind. We generally want to keep tangential information out of entries, to keep them focused. Talk pages are almost never used for discussion here. We simply have too few people and too many entries. If you would like to start a discussion, it's suggested that you start it on one of our discussion fora, such as the Tea Room. Thanks. -Atelaes λάλει ἐμοί 00:02, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Please don't be discouraged too easily. Wiktionary formatting is a lot more precise than Wikipedia formatting, because we don't write in paragraphs here.
Cheers, don't be discouraged too easily. Mglovesfun (talk) 11:50, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
{{unsigned}}
. The use of this template specifically alerts people that someone other than the speaker has left that signature. If someone has left a signature without a timestamp, it's generally frowned upon, but it's their right. I've reverted both your edits which edited the comments of others', including one where you also left a comment of your own, which you'll have to redo if you want it to exist. Sorry about that. Also, concerning etymologies. I might be wrong here, but it seems like you're sometimes editing in areas that you don't understand. Please don't. Using information from other places when you don't really understand what it means almost inevitably introduces errors. If you're looking for something to do, there's a bunch of fairly easy stuff at Wiktionary:Todo. I'd like to reiterate what Mglovesfun said about not getting discouraged. Wiktionary can be a hard place to edit. We have a lot of complex standards, and we enforce them rather harshly, and we have no problem telling people when they've made a mistake. However, we also understand how hard this makes it for new folks, and we're generally pretty happy to answer any questions, so please ask when you have them. Thanks. -Atelaes λάλει ἐμοί 14:33, 20 April 2010 (UTC)
Please create full pages for alternative spellings, instead of simply redirects. Nadando 19:03, 19 May 2010 (UTC)
I undid your edits to Alice. See WT:FICTION for some considerations for proper nouns that come from fictional universes. —Internoob (Disc•Cont) 23:47, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi Tyciol, Please contact me via my talk page. I've been trying to get hold of you by email, but didn't receive a response. Thanks, Leucosticte (talk) 04:42, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
