From Ottoman Turkish طاغلمق (dağılmak), from Old Anatolian Turkish (tağıl-, to be scattered, to spread), passive form of Proto-Turkic *dar- (to go apart, scatter, spread).[1] The reason of -/r/- to -/ğ/- assimilation is unknown.
