Korean
Etymology
First attested in the Seokbo sangjeol (釋譜詳節 / 석보상절), 1447, as Middle Korean 너희 (Yale: nèhùy), probably from 너 (Yale: nè, “you”, singular) + Old Korean 中 (*-KUY, locative suffix). "Your place" > "you guys, you all". Compare Gyeongsang Korean 너거 (neogeo) preserving the velar, perhaps from unattested *너ᄀᆡ (Yale: nekoy)?
