past participle 'bad' /beɪd/
Is /beɪd/ heard formally even for bad? Thanks in advance. --Backinstadiums (talk) 08:18, 21 April 2017 (UTC)
- Generally I hear “bad”. However, this isn't the same pronunciation as “bad” the adjective. The vowel is much shorter, like “bat” but with voiced final consonant.Steepleman (talk) 05:09, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
Redundant translation tables
This article contains many unnecessary translation tables. Under etymology 1, the translations for "invite" and "utter a greeting" can replaced by trans-see invite and greet. Under etymology 2, make an attempt is also covered in other articles.
