This template may be used in Wiktionary entries to format quotations from William Shakespeare's work Pericles, Prince of Tyre (1st edition, 1609). It may be used to create a link to an online version of the work at The Internet Archive.
The template takes the following parameters:
|1=
or |act=
– mandatory: the act number of the play quoted from in uppercase Roman numerals.|2=
or |scene=
– mandatory: the scene number of the play quoted from in lowercase Roman numerals. As the original work was not divided into acts and scenes, look up the act and scene numbers from a modern edition of the play.|3=
or |pageref=
– optional: the number of the page to link to at The Internet Archive. (The pages in the text itself are unnumbered.)|4=
, |text=
, or |passage=
– The passage to be quoted.|brackets=
– use |brackets=on
to surround a quotation with brackets. This indicates that the quotation either contains a mere mention of a term (for example, "some people find the word manoeuvre hard to spell") rather than an actual use of it (for example, "we need to manoeuvre carefully to avoid causing upset"), or does not provide an actual instance of a term but provides information about related terms.{{RQ:Shakespeare Pericles|act=I|scene=i|pageref=10|passage=Fevv loue to heare the ſinnes they loue to act / T'vvould '''brayde''' your ſelfe too neare for me to tell it: {{...}}}}
