Purpose

The template generates a collapsible table with the conjugation of a Turkish verb whose stem ends in a vowel.

For verbs with stems ending in a consonant, use {{tr-conj}}.

Parameters

The template has three parameters, all of which are obligatory.

  • 1 = The stem without the infinitive suffix (-mek / -mak) and with its final vowel removed
  • 2 = The dominant (last) vowel in parameter 1 above
  • 3 = The final vowel of the stem that was removed in parameter 1

Examples

  • For the verb toplamak:
    {{tr-conj-v|topl|o|a}}
  • For the verb söylemek:
    {{tr-conj-v|söyl|ö|e}}

Limitations

The template does not handle the two verbs demek and yemek for which the final vowel of the stem is the only vowel (the notable differences are in future "prospective" and imperative tenses). These can be handled with the template {{tr-demek-yemek}}.
