@Sgconlaw, @Gorgehater: I see a number of templates have been created (e.g., {{RQ:Milton Samson}}
which is redundant (though not immediately obviously) with {{RQ:Milton Paradise Regained}}
). The new templates also don't link to online editions or provide much specific detail at all. There are some 19th-century collected editions, a 1645 collection of poems (and a reprint thereof), and a 1673 collection. I propose deprecating and removing most of the existing new templates, and fixing the remainder, as follows.
{{RQ:Milton Arcades}}
-> 1645 Poems. (p. 51){{RQ:Milton History}}
-> Link to this copy at Google Book Search{{RQ:Milton L'Allegro}}
-> 1645 Poems. (p. 30){{RQ:Milton Lycidas}}
~~ -> 1645 Poems. (p. 57){{RQ:Milton Nativity}}
-> 1645 Poems. (p. 1){{RQ:Milton OR}}
-> No first edition online; used a reprint at Google Book Search{{RQ:Milton Passion}}
-> 1645 Poems. (p. 16){{RQ:Milton Penseroso}}
-> 1645 Poems. (p. 37){{RQ:Milton Reason}}
-> Link to this copy at The Internet Archive{{RQ:Milton Samson}}
-> {{RQ:Milton Paradise Regained}}
(added a note in the template box)Let me know if you have any strong opinions here; I'll start by making {{RQ:Milton Poems}}
, and go forward from there. grendel|khan 00:23, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
{{RQ:Milton Samson}}
can be a redirect to {{RQ:Milton Paradise Regained}}
or call the main template and pass parameters to it. — SGconlaw (talk) 09:05, 10 April 2020 (UTC)
