Let me know if I mess something up here.
When you create a new Mandarin term, it's highly recommended that you mirror an existing term for its structure. Your entry was missing some of the most basic components of a Mandarin entry. Please see my changes to 当作. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask me on my talkpage. Jamesjiao → T ◊ C 22:36, 19 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi again. You are definitely improving! There is still some room for improvement though. 1) You need to create both the trad and simp forms when creating a Mandarin entry. This was decided a long time ago through a vote that both forms have equal status on this dictionary and creating one form needs to be followed by creating the other form. 2) You need to include the reference strokes parameter to the headline template (indicated by rs=). This is so that it's easier for people to look up the word from our Category sections (see this change). If you are not sure about the radical and the number of strokes, just look up the character and the information can be found in the translingual section of the character. 3) Just be careful which headline template to use. I take it you copied it from another entry, but 独自 is an adjective, so it needs to use the {{cmn-adj}}
template, not {{cmn-noun}}
. All these templates are pretty much all the same, except one difference - different templates place words in different part-of-speech category. You can find a list of all the Mandarin headline templates here: Category:Mandarin_headword-line_templates. Jamesjiao → T ◊ C 23:19, 24 September 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the declension table :D. I am slowly learning the different noun cases and one of those days, I can start putting in the table myself. Jamesjiao → T ◊ C 00:02, 25 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
Thanks for your contributions. When making citations or user examples or anywhere in the main space, please use letter ё where appropriate (including citations, even if ё is replaced with е in books Conceptually, it's still letter ё). It's the dictionary and encyclopedia style. It will also help readers/learners. Feel free to ask if you need any help with Russian or possibly Mandarin. (I'm native Russian and a long-time learner of Chinese). --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 04:58, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
When you create new entries in Ukrainian, can you please indicate the placement of the accent? For example on допомагати, you would use: {{head|uk|verb|head=допома́гати}}
(if that's where the accent goes... I don't know at all). You can also use {{uk-verb|head=допомага́ти}}
which is probably better. —CodeCat 16:54, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
Good effort but you made a mistake - wrong participle, active instead of passive. Please note my change. --Anatoli (обсудить/вклад) 20:49, 11 October 2013 (UTC)
