Python

Hi. I see you are using Python to add missing Spanish voseo forms. Thanks a lot, man! Many of those verbs could also benefit from having other forms added. In case you didn't know about it yet, there is a category Category:Spanish terms having red links in their inflection table which includes missing Spanish verb forms. --46.233.112.33 18:31, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

No, I didn't know about that. Thanks for the tip! Codeofdusk (talk) 18:34, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, those categories were made a while back by a long-time contributor who worked a lot with Spanish. You know what, I reckon we would also benefit from adding other voseo forms - tiznés and tizná along with tiznás, which in my opinion would be very minimal extra Python work but with triple the productivity. --46.233.112.33 18:36, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Just going to clean up the indicatives first, then will add checks for imperative and subjunctive forms later. Codeofdusk (talk) 18:39, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Great! Keep up the excellent work. --46.233.112.33 18:41, 7 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

You also added an entry in the wrong order at armés. Please ensure these problems do not occur any more before running your program again. Thanks —Μετάknowledgediscuss/deeds 23:45, 30 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Doubling the output of the program

Hi. If you're using Python and a text file to make the voseo forms, perhaps you'd like to add a little more text onto the code, in order to auto-create some past participle forms too. A text file was written with that in mind, you see - User:Type56op9/bot code - maybe that could be used? --A230rjfowe (talk) 15:37, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Looks like a standard template for that. Are there lots of missing past participle forms? I haven't seen any! On the other hand, there were thousands of missing voseo forms, there are now only a few hundred and some possible conjugations for them.Codeofdusk (talk) 16:54, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
There are lots of missing past participle forms actually. Especially for verbs which are similar in other languages. There was a recently created "missing pages" page at User:Metaknowledge/Español - many of the missing Spanish entries already have an entry in another language so they can be more difficult to find - for example visitadas, contadas, votada, ignorados etc. which are not red links. I believe what happened was that when the first Spanish bots mass-created Spanish verb forms, they didn't include past participle forms (or voseo forms, or compound forms like ganarle, bésame, regelárselas etc.) so that's why we have lots of red links. There's also Category:Spanish verbs having past participle red links in their conjugation table which has got another list of missing entries. --A230rjfowe (talk) 21:05, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Bot owners

Another person you might want to contact is User talk:Matthias Buchmeier, who used to run a Spanish verb-form bot. Maybe he can give you the code or make your life easier somehow. --A230rjfowe (talk) 21:07, 31 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Spanish forms

Hello there. When I check google:site:es "repliqués", I get almost no hits. Why is that? Does "repliqués" exist as a Spanish inflected form?

I get even worse results for google:site:es "rehogués‎" --Dan Polansky (talk) 08:53, 1 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Yes, it is.Codeofdusk (talk) 16:34, 1 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
Do these forms actually exist, being actually used, or are they merely hypothetical? --Dan Polansky (talk) 17:11, 2 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

New voseos

Hey there. We've found a lot more missing voseo forms in Category:Spanish terms with red links in their inflection tables, if you are looking for any more to create. --P3459rgo0 (talk) 17:56, 17 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Took care of it. Thanks for the tip! Codeofdusk (talk) 20:21, 23 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
