- Our entries are about terms from all languages (in their original scripts), but they're written in English. Other Wiktionaries have entries about the same terms, but they're written in the languages of the other Wiktionaries. Why should someone from the United States have to learn Swahili in order to learn what jambo means? Or Hindi to learn what नमस्ते (namaste) means? Do you know enough Chinese to read the definition at zh:你好? Why should someone who doesn't speak English have to read our English definitions for English terms? - @Chuck Entz: No doubt, I agree with your rationale. But why having the term "कुक्षि" as it is in Hindi script in English Wiktionary?
