This is my proposal for improving the Latin declension templates.

These templates are designed to take one or two arguments.

{{{1}}} = stem without macrons

{{{2}}} = stem with macrons (if needed)

These templates are designed to take as few as two arguments or as many as four.

{{{1}}} = singular nominative without macrons

{{{2}}} = stem without macrons

{{{3}}} = singular nominative with macrons (if needed)

{{{4}}} = stem with macrons (if needed)

In the case that you wish to use this template, but you need to modify one cell, then you can use to the optional cell re-write parameters. For example:

In the case that you wish to use this template, but you wish to add information to one cell without rewriting it, then you can use to the optional cell extension parameters. For example:
