- Looking at diffs, edits like this are not obvious vandalism. Do you have a diff or two that makes it clear that this person needs to be blocked? —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 04:44, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- That one is fine but they also have a number of previous edits that I have reported in the past few days under other addresses. shows that they are not responding to blocks (falsifying simplified forms by """"analogy"""" from 廣→广). —Fish bowl (talk) 04:48, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
- Special:Contributions/167.248.0.0/16 shows a long history of bad edits dating to September 2023. —Fish bowl (talk) 22:22, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
- Bad edits are not the same thing as vandalism. You're not making it easy for anyone else here, which is why posts you've made like this have stood for days with no action. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 02:58, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- and were dealt with speedily, and "Adding nonsense/gibberish" is a valid block reason. IDK what's your problem man. —Fish bowl (talk) 03:06, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- My problem? I'm just telling you how you can make your cryptic reports genuinely useful to another person. If you don't want to do that, I can't make you be intelligible. "x is a bad edit" is just not the same thing as vandalism. Do you sincerely not understand that? The diffs you just gave at least attempted to explain why it's vandalism with inserting false information. The report you posted here is just "a similar guy to before" on a page that is edited several hundred times a year. You've done this before as well and just expect everyone else to spontaneously read your mind. Then you get mad at the person who is actually trying to help by teasing out the information you're being occult about? Good luck communicating with someone. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 03:14, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- @Koavf @Fish bowl is (quite reasonably) expecting the admin dealing to either be familiar with the language in question, or to take their word for it as a longstanding, capable contributor. If you don't feel able to deal with these reports that's fine, but clearly other admins do. Theknightwho (talk) 03:16, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hence I've left up his obscure reports so someone else can bother dealing with them. If you want to, have at it. If he wants to keep on posting "same person as reported previously" or just ignore someone trying to help him make a useful report, then good luck to him and anyone else who wants to spend time decoding and investigating. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 03:22, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
- Re: this, I think others care, but we're not all competent in CJK languages. I'll leave this here for a bit longer in case any other admins with competency in these languages want to intervene. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 22:38, 27 June 2024 (UTC)
