Usage notes

Just like in Chinese and Burmese, tʰai⁵⁵ requires modification by a cardinal numeral. Thus, for "(one) ten", tə̆.tʰai⁵⁵ ("tə̆" is a reduced form of ta³¹("one")) should be used (cf. Burmese တဆယ် (ta.hcai, ten)).
