Usage notes

The verb conjugates in two ways: the usual -άω/ώ, -άς, -ά passive -ιέμαι (Class A of 2nd Conjugation) and the more formal -ώ, -είς, -εί, passive -ούμαι (Class B of 2nd Conjugation) which is used in phrases like:
