Has been compared to Proto-Germanic *snutraz (“wise, clever”), νεύω (neúō, “to nod, grant”), Proto-Indo-European *nes- (“to return home safely”),[1] νέω (néō, “I spin”) (with sense development "to spin" > "to spin the thread of the mind" > "mind, thought").
