Notes Appendix:Greek verbs |
1. Because of the coincidence of imperfect and past, a constructed form παρείξα (pareíxa) exists, with dependent παρέξω (paréxo).[1] 2. Second forms are very formal, as in the ancient aorist παρέσχον from the conjugation of παρέχω. In Modern Greek, found mostly in the 3rd person singular (more persons included here, for reference). 3. Only in ecclesiastic language, the ancient παράσχου (paráskhou) Κύριε ("provide my Lord!") 4. Formal ancient passive perfect participle {παρεσχημένος} ("who has been provided"), and passive past participle παρασχεθείς (paraskhetheís, “who was provided”). • (…) optional or informal. rare. {…} learned, archaic. • Multiple forms are shown in order of reducing frequency. • Periphrastic imperative forms may be produced using the subjunctive. | |||
