թանամ • (tʻanam)

1. (transitive) to wet, to bathe, to dip, to drench, to soak; to moisten, to bedew, to water

   թանալ զանկողին իւր արտասուօք ― tʻanal zankołin iwr artasuōkʻ ― to bathe one's pillow with tears

   արտասուօք թանալ զոտս ուրուք ― artasuōkʻ tʻanal zots urukʻ ― to bathe the feet with one's tears

   թանալ զսուր ի պարանոց ուրուք ― tʻanal zsur i paranocʻ urukʻ ― to cut the throat, to massacre

   թանալ յարիւնս բազմաց ― tʻanal yariwns bazmacʻ ― to butcher, to slaughter, to shed much blood, to swim in blood

   թանալ ի գինի ― tʻanal i gini ― to soak, to steep in wine

   գնացին առանց թանալոյ ի վերայ ծովուն ― gnacʻin aṙancʻ tʻanaloy i veray covun ― they passed the sea dry-shod
